Ship cake

This was a ship cake I made for my little girls.
I used all my left over cake pieces and plastic icing/fondant.

I took all the leftover cake and shaped them into a boat.
I then glued them together using butter cream icing. This was my crumb coat.

Always colour your butter cream icing brown.

I made the holes using toothpicks.

You can see why it was better to colour your butter cream brown.
All the bits of white showed :(

Using my fingers,I rubbed some brown food gel all over the top
deck of ship.

I will add some windows, flags and an anchor later.
This was very easy to do cause it was a small cake (**;)
My kids wanted to eat it asap!

Tigger Cake

This was a vanilla sponge cake with butter cream icing.

The Tigger figurines were made from marshmallow fondant.
I used gel food paste to colour the Tigger figurines.

The cake I covered with plastic icing/fondant. I coloured the plastic
icing/ fondant with black &orange food gel.
This created that stoney brown colour.

Tigger jumping out of the cake. I added pebbles to fill up the space.

I added a tiger tail and tiger pores all around the cake.

I made this cake for a 1 year old boy. The only thing left was to dust off the
white marks from the icing sugar (**;)
